Here at Cat Knapp Maine Coons we are crazy about ALL of our cats, not just our kittens. We have raised them in our home with love and they are part of our family. Because of this, we have policies put in place to make sure they are adopted into loving, forever homes.

ADOPTING FROM US
All of our kittens are sold as PETS ONLY with no breeding rights.
At this time we DO NOT implement a waiting list. We start accepting kitten adoption applications when our kittens are vet checked (usually around 6-8 weeks old). If your application is approved, we will contact you to place a $300 deposit(we will ask that you send the deposit through paypal, there will be a 2.9%+ .30 charge to cover Paypal fees. This brings the deposit amount to $309). If we approve your adoption application and contact you to place a deposit, we ask that you please submit the deposit within 24 hours of us contacting you.
Deposits ARE NON REFUNDABLE. ( If you should change your mind the deposit is non-refundable as we will have to now find a new home for the baby that was reserved for you.) The deposit is deducted from the overall cost of the kitten.
PLEASE BE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL OF OUR POLICIES. WE READ THROUGH ALL APPLICATIONS AND TAKE OUR TIME ENSURING OUR KITTENS GO TO THE RIGHT HOME. Since we are a small cattery and we have a lot of inquiries about our kittens, they tend to be reserved very quickly. We will not hold a kitten without a deposit, and completing an application does NOT guarantee a kitten.
PICKUP POLICY
Typically our kittens go home around 12-13 weeks old with a blanket, baggy of their food, they will receive age appropriate vaccines, they will be microchipped and dewormed, and they will each have copies of their vet records. You will receive copies of their TICA registration upon proof of spay/neuter. We require the kitten is spayed/neutered before 1 year of age.
At the time of pickup, the remaining balance will be due in cash. Please bring a crate to transport your kitten home, we will not allow them to leave here if you do not have a crate. If you would like to pay for your kitten using a credit card, we require the payment be send BEFORE pickup using PayPal ( there will be a 2.9%+ .30 charge to cover Paypal fees).

We have health tested our breeding cats for HCM, PKD,SMA, and feline leukemia. All of our breeding cats have tested negative for these genetic conditions. Proof of these tests will gladly be available upon request! All of our adult cats are up to date on their vaccines, loved, spoiled, healthy, and come from our home. For their health and safety they are kept indoors only.
Our kittens will have a 1 year congenital health guarantee and must be vet checked within 3 days of bringing your new kitten home (otherwise the health guarantee is voided).
We do not guarantee the size, fluffiness, or color of any of our kittens.
VISITING/PICK-UP POLICY: Unfortunately, we do not allow visitors other than the pick-up day for your kitten. NO EXCEPTIONS. Cats are not like dogs who enjoy being social with strangers, cats get stressed easily especially pregnant and nursing mothers. Added stress from strangers can have an impact on their health and put the litter at risk too. More foot traffic also increases the risk of someone bringing in diseases that can greatly effect our cats and kittens. We would be happy to send videos or pictures of your kitten in our home where they are raised if requested.
